Although I'm firmly on "Team No Christmas Decorations Until After Thanksgiving," I can make an exception for starting Christmas-related crafts well in advance. And with about six weeks left before the big day, you've got plenty of time to stitch up this simple Scrabble tile-inspired Christmas cross stitch pattern.
The pattern is 62 x 62 stitches and the stitched area will be roughly circle-shaped with a 4 3/8" diameter on 14 count Aida . I'm also thinking of doing it on 18 count Aida , which would give it a diameter of 3 1/2" so it should fit inside a 4" embroidery hoop to make it more ornament-sized (I'm kiiiiiind of on an ornament kick around here lately).

Scrabble tiles Christmas cross stitch pattern tips:
I recommend using two strands of thread for the white backstitching of the letters to make it stand out against the red. Might need to try 3 strands for the red squares too, especially if it's on 14 count cloth, to make sure the white letters show up.
You'll need red, yellow/beige-ish, green, and white embroidery floss for this project. I don't think the exact shade makes a huge difference on this pattern though, if you've got any of those basic colors in your stash already, and you could definitely switch up the colors too!
